Administration

Capital Planning

Capital Budgets are responsible for minor and major capital on projects for the community of Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation. In the past the community has been involved in the construction of the community building, daycare centre, outdoor rink and construction of the 5-Plex Unit. Currently, the community is in the planning stages of the New Administration building, no completion date is set.. There is also the construction of the new subdivision in the community set to hold 50 housing units.

Operations and Maintenance

Operations and Maintenance maintain the infrastructure of the community including the Nigigoonsiminikaaning Daycare Centre, Community Building, Water Treatment Plant, Roads, Snow Removal, Garage, and Fire Hall. They also maintain band-owned vehicles, and construction equipment for the community.

Ontario Works

Ontario Works is also available in the community and open to clients from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday on a weekly basis.
